Use Claude with your Polish business: ask about your invoices, let it write drafts
Turn on Settings → AI apps in Komplet, click “Add to Claude…”, restart Claude, then ask about your invoices. Komplet answers from your Mac, and only your click issues an invoice.

In short
- Claude for Mac, Claude Code, Cursor, LM Studio and VS Code can read your Komplet records and write invoice drafts, once you connect them in Settings → AI apps.
- Komplet answers from your Mac. Only what you ask about goes to the AI app you chose, and every request is listed in Komplet.
- An AI app can never issue an invoice, send anything to KSeF or to a client, or delete anything. Komplet shows you the draft and waits for your click.
- ChatGPT, Grok and Claude in a browser or on a phone cannot connect yet: they only reach tools on the internet.
- It is part of the Connect plan, free for everyone until 31 December 2026, and needs Komplet 1.5 or later.

Komplet, our Mac app, can now answer questions from Claude and other AI apps on the same Mac: which invoices are unpaid, who your best clients are, what you spent last month. It can also take “an invoice for Acme for 2,000 €” and turn it into a draft. You connect your AI app once, in Settings → AI apps, and Komplet asks you before anything is issued, sent or deleted.
What you need
- Komplet 1.5 or later on your Mac. AI apps are part of the Connect plan, free for everyone until 31 December 2026.
- An AI app on the same Mac: Claude for Mac, Claude Code, Cursor, LM Studio or VS Code. Any app that can run local tools (MCP servers) works the same way.
- Not yet: ChatGPT, Grok, or Claude in a browser or on a phone. They only reach tools on the internet, and Komplet keeps your records on your Mac.
The connection uses MCP, the Model Context Protocol: an open standard that lets an AI app ask a program on your computer for information. You never have to touch it yourself; Komplet sets it up.
Connect Claude for Mac
- Open Komplet and go to Settings → AI apps. Check that Let AI apps use Komplet is on.
- Next to Claude for Mac, click Add to Claude…. A window opens on Claude’s settings folder; click Allow. Komplet adds itself to
claude_desktop_config.jsonand keeps everything else in it. - Quit Claude completely (⌘Q, not just the window) and open it again. Claude reads its settings only when it starts.
- Ask Claude something about your business, for example: “Which of my invoices are still unpaid?”
- Komplet asks you, once, whether Claude may use it: Allow reading and drafts, Reading only, or Don’t allow.
To check the connection, click the + (“Add files, connectors, and more”) in Claude’s message box and open Connectors: komplet should be in the list.
Tip: Claude may ask your permission before each of Komplet’s tools the first time. That is Claude’s own safety step; you can allow a tool once or always.
Connect Claude Code, Cursor and the others
For Claude Code, copy the command from Settings → AI apps and paste it into Terminal once:
claude mcp add --scope user komplet -- "/Applications/Komplet.app/Contents/MacOS/Komplet" --connector
--scope user makes Komplet available in every project, not just the folder you are in.
For Cursor, LM Studio, VS Code and other apps, add Komplet to the app’s list of MCP servers. Komplet shows the exact setting to copy:
{
"mcpServers": {
"komplet": {
"command": "/Applications/Komplet.app/Contents/MacOS/Komplet",
"args": ["--connector"]
}
}
}
Komplet does not have to be open. When an AI app asks and Komplet is not running, it opens in the background.
Ten questions to try
Ask in English, Polish or any language your AI app speaks. The AI app picks what to ask Komplet for; you see each request in Settings → AI apps.
| You ask | What Komplet looks at |
|---|---|
| “Which invoices are still unpaid, and how late are they?” | Issued invoices and the bank payments matched to them |
| “Who were my five best clients this year?” | Sales per client: invoiced, paid, how fast they pay |
| “What did I spend on software in September?” | Cost documents by category and supplier |
| “Which payments in October still have no document?” | Bank lines and the documents matched to them |
| “When is my next VAT payment, and roughly how much?” | Tax periods, due dates and estimates |
| “How long would my cash last at this pace?” | Bank balances and the last months’ money in and out |
| “Find the contract with Acme” | Full-text search over your documents |
| “What does the letter from the tax office ask, and by when?” | Official letters you added to Komplet |
| “Did Atelier Lumière pay invoice FV/2/10/2026?” | That invoice and its payment |
| “Remind me on Friday to send the September package” | Adds a to-do on Komplet’s Home |
Komplet knows what you invoiced each client, not what each client cost you to serve. “Best clients” therefore means revenue, not profit, and the answer says so.
Write an invoice with Claude
- Ask: “Write an invoice for Atelier Lumière for 2,000 € net for October.”
- Claude finds the client among the people you have invoiced and asks Komplet for a draft. The draft repeats that client’s last invoice: the wording, the VAT treatment (for an EU business, usually
np II, reverse charge), the currency, the bank account. Komplet fills in the NBP exchange rate. - Claude shows you the draft: client, lines, VAT, total and the checks Komplet ran. Change anything by asking: “Make it 2,500” or “Call it Web development, October 2026”.
- When it looks right, say “Issue it”. Komplet puts the invoice in front of you on the Mac with Not now and Issue (or Issue and send to KSeF). Nothing gets a number until you click.
Two things to say clearly to Claude:
- Net or gross. Prices are taken as net unless you say the amount includes VAT. For a Polish client who pays VAT, “1,230 zł gross” and “1,000 zł net” are the same invoice at 23%.
- A new client. Give their NIP or EU VAT number: Komplet looks the company up in the Polish VAT register (biała lista) or in VIES, the EU’s VAT number check, and uses the name and address as registered. Some countries, Germany among them, confirm the number but not the name: then give the name and address too.
Watch out: a draft is not an invoice. Until you issue it, it has no number and is not in KSeF. Once KSeF has an invoice, only a correction changes it.
What stays on your Mac
- Your records stay in Komplet, on your Mac and in your iCloud. Komplet sends nothing about them to us.
- When you ask, the AI app receives Komplet’s answer to that request, and passes it to its own AI service like anything else you type. Choose an AI app whose terms you accept for business data.
- Settings → AI apps lists every request: which app, when, what it asked or changed. Each app can be off, read only, or read and write drafts, and you choose which companies it sees.
- One switch, Let AI apps use Komplet, turns everything off.
When it does not work
- Claude says Komplet is not answering: open Komplet, check Settings → AI apps → Let AI apps use Komplet, then try again.
- Komplet does not appear in Claude’s connectors: quit Claude with ⌘Q and open it again. Still missing? Click Add to Claude… once more.
- “Komplet is asking the user whether … may use it”: answer the question in the Komplet window, then repeat your request.
- “part of the Komplet Connect plan”: the free period has ended; Connect is in Settings → Subscription.
- Claude for Mac writes its connection log to
~/Library/Logs/Claude/(the files starting withmcp). Send them to us with Write to us if you are stuck.
For the month-end routine that goes with it, see the month package and how Komplet pairs payments with invoices. The overview of the feature is on the AI apps page.
